APOCALYP-SICK: One book. Two stories. One of murder and one of an apocalyptic end to mankind. by Howard Carlyle

4.0

First of all, side notes in the story were confusing. At first I thought they were some sort of reference points, but at the end of the book I found they were notes from an editor I am guessing. Anyways, I downloaded this book when it was free. I'm not the kind of person that would pay for such a short book. But with that being said, after reading I could see why people would pay for it. I absolutely loved the first story. Despite its brevity, it packed a punch. It was the solid serial killer/ torture style read that I enjoy. (That danged dog lol). The second story wasn't really my thing. Alien/ apocalyptic style. It wasn't bad, it's just not my genre. But it was short and I read it anyways. The two stories just didn't seem to go together. One was brutal gore, the other being aliens. Just my personal opinion
