Tears of Tess
by Pepper Winters
This book is probably everything 50 Shades of Grey couldn't (or wouldn't) be.
Dubcon romances are very hard to pull through without straying into "creepy" territory. But this story by Pepper Winters, although it contains many hard to read passages, is gloriously done. Throughout the book, we resonate with Tess's inner (and outer) conflict; we understand her attraction to Q even when we simultaneously acknowledge is wrong. And the epilogue, from Q's perspective, sheds great light into this intricate character.
