Keeping 13 by Chloe Walsh

TRULY. I didn’t see how i could love book 2 more than 1 but then i did. These books are LONG, they definitely contain fluff scenes that could have been edited out but im so glad they weren’t.

I feel like every single character. Every single scene is just so important. I adore these books and the emotions they bring to me.

I think sometimes you forget that you’re talking about CHILDREN. High schoolers because what they have went through and what they’re going through is heavy and honestly unbearable but when you get those childish banter conversations that don’t really help the plot it reminds you damn these are children and i think that adds to the impact these books have.

I adore Johnny and Shannon. I could read a third book just on them to be honest but in my opinion Tadhg, John and Edel stole this book for me. I adore all three of these characters so so much.

When i was reading the scene. YOU KNOW the one - 🔥 i was literally in tears. gutwrenching sobbing. It was written in a way that just kept you there, i felt like i was in that room with Shannon so terrified and then just the way the author writes - i love it.

i can see how it isn’t for everyone because it is really long and there are a lot of characters and details but you fall in love with all of the characters. Even Lizzie.
