Very detailed and very technical, probably like Newey himself. Even though most of the technical work went above my head, I do think that I learned more about how a car is made.... so yes, job accomplished.
The highlight (which is weird to write in the context of what it was) of the book was the breakdown of the accident that led to Senna's death. I think he was very open about his level of responsibility in the crash. I also appreciated how thorough he/Williams were in understanding why it happened and what they did to make sure something like that would never happen again.
Outside of that it was fun to see his perspective on the inner workings of all of the teams and their drivers. Obviously, he was very biased towards the Red Bull drivers in the back half of the book but I like Seb so I was fine with it 😂

Probably the greatest weakness just comes from the fact that Newey was a very privileged child who grew into a very privileged adult. There was line about about missing the old days of non-Political Correctness where I was like... yah this is a rich White man above else all... no wonder he got along so well with Horner. Despite that, I'm still curious to see what he comes up with Aston Martin in 2026.
