To Redeem a Highland Rake by Collette Cameron
5.0

Arieen Fleming deliberately creates a public scandal to avoid being forced to marry an English lord, what she didn't foresee was being thrown out & disowned by her father
Coburn Wallace is a man who enjoys life and women to the fullest. As cousin and second-in-command to Logan Rutherford, he has no need or desire to marry and produce an heir. When a beautiful female pirate demands he kiss her, who is he to refuse such an unexpected gift? When he witnesses all that transpires after their kiss, his honour demands he marry Arieen for his unwitting contribution to her ruination.
This book overlaps the previous one in the series, whilst it could easily be read on its own I did read this immediately after reading the first book. Another lovely read which I read in two sittings. The book is well written & the characters well fleshed. My heart went out to Arieen & I really, really wanted her father to suffer, maybe losing all his investments & becoming a pauper would have been fitting. Coburn & Arieen were attracted to each other from their first sighting but neither wants to marry & can’t believe the other feels the same way. Things don't go smoothly for them on the road to their HEA but it’s highly entertaining
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
