Full of twists and turns, Sager kept me guessing to the last page. Perhaps the sheer number of twists was a bit ludicrous, but I wad entertained. I do feel like there were some plot holes not fully explained, but I am assuming the inconsistencies are the fault of Lenora/Virginia trying to keep the whole story from Kit. I enjoyed the parallels to The Fall of the House of Usher, with the manor crumbling along with all the lies of the Hope family.
