I'm sorry, but this book was horrific and I don't mean actual terror or scary or anything of that sort. More like it was horrifically written. This is going to be a major brutal review about this book. This was not the greatest execution of this book and yet, for so long, I actually (for once) had high hopes for it since I kept seeing the book at my library and the audiobook it seemed always available on Libby. So when I was finally able to pick this up, it was uh.... shockingly slow and boring for an intro to the characters and for another side line story about a serial killer. It dragged and dragged and dragged, and the flashbacks were at random spots like for a while I'll be in the main story, and the next it's shifting to the past leading up from the beginning of the murder the two girls are charged with to the end of that particular day, and the story structure of it became a total mess. I had no connection or anything to the characters and even they were bland and poorly written. So I don't know, I guess I'm sad and mixed with different emotions to come out disappointed with this book since it sounded promising. But that's just me. Some may like this one, some may not. It just wasn't for me unfortunately. *shrugging shoulders*
