Savage Inequalities: Children in America's Schools by Jonathan Kozol

3.0

I can't help but love Jonathan Kozol's sensationalistic, heart-wrenching tales. While I was reading this I actually met him at an Anti-No-Child-Left-Behind press conference in DC. Fascinating guy who looks just like you would expect him to. After chatting with him for a while he suggested I go to Harvard to get a doctorate and research with him. Probably not a warranted compliment but one of the most flattering I've ever received, and even seeing his byline makes me wish I had done that instead of law school.
