Incredibly satisfying and thoughtfully composed collection of simply immaculate stories. Made me laugh and cry, and left me very very satisfied. Pacing can be inconsistent and language is difficult, but not necessarily in a bad was. Incredible incredible book and another amazing example of Monáe’s very personal and vibrant artistry. Contemporary canon for me 👍
