Yellowface isn't a book I'd normally pick up, but it's a book club pick so I dove in reading it. Within the first two chapters, I didn't like the main character June. And, she got less redeaming as the book went on. I know that had she behaved differently, there wouldn't have been a book/story to tell. It kept me hooked though, waiting for the suspense to come to a crashing end. Though, I kept wanting to yell at her to either suck it up or come clean, because she managed to herself into a victim, despite nobody being to blaim but herself.
