Going Rogue
by Janet Evanovich
one problem that I discovered with this book, after reading 28 previous Stephanie Plum adventures, is audio may not be a good choice. I had in my head exactly how Lula and grandma sounded, how Ranger said "Babe" and how Morelli said Cupcake. Hearing someone else try to bring them to life did not go well. I was terribly disappointed as none of the "voices" in this audiobook were how I imagined. After listening to about 25% of the book, I was able to overlook the discrepancy and bit and enjoyed my visit to Trenton, NJ. Same old Stephanie so it was like a cozy blanket that I knew every inch of but liked anyway. Stephanie has to find a "coin" from an old dungeon and dragons type game in order to get Connie back from the people who kidnapped her. The coin has a code for 11 million in crypto currency. The usual assortment of Trenton's kookiest folks and felons with explosions and Bella Morelli giving folks the eye. The bail bonds office is imploded, Vinny gets kidnapped after Connie is released and Stephanie gets nabbed too. they are saved by a comicon Sir Lancelot and the bad guys go to jail. all is well as there are always donuts on the desk.
