🔥 🩸 Fire & Blood by George RR Martin 🩸 🔥
Read as a non-fiction account of the Targaryen’s early histories in Westeros, “Fire & Blood” takes place 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones. As someone who both loves history and loves fantasy, I LOVED this book.
I thought I would be bored out of my mind ( and in some parts I was) but I found this to be really engaging. Maybe it’s because I’m just as interested in House of the Dragon as I was with GoT, and this book IS what HotD is based on, but I just really love this world and coming back to it for new stories when I can.
I’ve only read book one of the main series, I do plan to read the others in the future, but since I finished the GoT show, I found it refreshing to read new stories from the world instead of reliving one I’ve already seen.
If you like Game of Thrones and were debating on if this was worth the effort, and boy does it take EFFORT… I think this is a worthy read.
