The Lady in the Tower: The Fall of Anne Boleyn by Alison Weir
5.0
I'm a huge fan of Alison Weir, so when I saw she had tackled the case of Anne Boleyn's trial and execution I had to buy it considering I'm fascinated by Queen Anne. Weir presents the facts of the case against the Queen and her co-conspirators and by dent of the evidence (and lack thereof) finds her innocent of the charges she was convicted of. I had never believed her to be guilty of them, but finding a historian who put together everything in a readable format, presented all the facts, listed every source she used it proves the case against the Queen was the result of Cromwell's vendetta against her. If you are interested in Queen Anne Boleyn, the Tudor period, King Henry VIII and/or the case that led to the Queen's execution this is a must read. Loved it.
