Pax, Journey Home by Sara Pennypacker

5.0

I was putting off starting this little treasure given how much the first book made me cry. The sequel was just as beautiful, heartwarming and comforting as the first - the story is so simple, so easy to read yet so effective - one of my favourite things about Sara Pennypacker’s ‘Pax’ and ‘Pax, Journey Home’ is that you never quite know when they’re set, the story exists in its own world and timeframe - it’s almost magical. Some may say it was a bit rushed, but actually, there is beauty in simplicity, and I am all for that.

The beauty of foxes will never cease to amaze me.
