Have A Beautiful, Terrible Day! by Kate Bowler

inspiring lighthearted fast-paced

4.0

Love Kate Bowler. Half of this book is lent/advent daily thoughts. I think they could be read any day though, but it is set up so it could be used during those times. The last week of Lent does have scripture instead of the thought of the day, followed by the blessing and it does follow Holy Week (Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, etc).

Each day has a thought, a blessing and some things to think about. Blessings for the days that are beautiful but also sometimes terrible (or terrible yet with some beauty) - applies to many things in our world.

Kate recently fought an awful cancer battle and many of her days were awful but still had beautiful moments. I can see how she came to see the world in this way. I love the sayings how both things can be true at the same time - suffering and joy, beautiful and terrible days.
