Likes:
  • Well written and good/realistic dialogue
  • Characters were not always likable but felt real and complex
  • Sally Rooney writing has a way to make you feel the mundane bleakness of what it means to be human. It’s gutting and raw but not in an overly loud or boisterous way.

Dislikes:
  • Sometimes it was a little too depressing for me and I always struggle to read about characters that are soooo closed off. Makes me itch and want to say something on their behalf.
  • That ending! Cliff hanger! Her endings are always so obscure.
