Was not sure when started this book that it would be for me. However I enjoyed this story. 1 kingdom with 12 provinence's, the heirs of each are on a journey to be sworn in. However one after another they begin to be murdered. So it's a basically a "locked room mystery" as 95 %, happens on board the ship. Lots of red herrings had me guessing. The novel has great representation.
Our hero, Ganymedes, is in love with a man, though does feel attraction to a certain type of woman. One of the heirs is in a wheelchair, there is also mention of mental health problems. Loved that part, that it was just accepted and not discussed.
