boltlightning 's review for:
Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries
by Heather Fawcett
delightful. a refreshing take on fae and family in such a charming setting.
i will say: i really really did not want a romance between the two leads, but i was sold by the end, which is not an easy feat.
i will also say: the ending was rushed, to the detriment of all the very careful narrative work in the other 4/5s of the book. i was expecting a much different solution given all we were introduced to. i shant say more. read and decide for yourself.
i will finally say: shadow the dog i love you.
