This web comic is, without a doubt, one of the best Yuri I've ever read! I absolutely love how, even though there's lots of explicit content right from the start-which I think supports the atmosphere perfectly-the story and character portrayal, as well as character development, have enough room and are absolutely amazing!!
The historical setting (1946) is dark, and the relationship both mysterious and complex. With themes of drug use, manipulation, corruption, and passion, the story is very mature and, thanks to the flawed and realistic characters, also believable while addressing social issues.
At the same time, the shift to crime investigation is incredibly thrilling, making me fear for the characters-whom I fell in love with-so much!
And who doesn't enjoy a crime-fighting, possiblymurdering , lesbian power couple? ♡ /rh /hj
Of course, the detailed and absolutely gorgeous art really stands out as well! It feels vintage and almost nostalgic, but also intimate and just as mature as the story itself.
