13 Little Blue Envelopes
by Maureen Johnson
A stack of numbered envelopes is delivered to Virginia from her aunt, the one who has been dead for months, sparking a chain of events that pushing Virginia to take chances and finally see the world.
I really enjoyed the story. Yes, it was pretty basic, there wasn't a whole lot of character development or background about Virginia, but for the genre it was written for it was perfect. The premise keeps you guessing and the hurried glimpses at European towns reminded me of my own adventures.
It's a quick read, not too corny and full of vivid descriptions and odd characters.
