I would have enjoyed this book more if I hadn't just read the Inheritance Games series by the same author. Some similar themes made it hard to distinguish between the two stories in my head: Southern rich society, strong female protagonist who finds herself propelled from having next-to-nothing into very wealthy society. A really engaging and enjoyable story about Sawyer Taft, who has grown up with a single mother estranged from Mum's family. Who is her father?
Quite frankly, I am very pleased not to have grown up a Southern Belle - so many expectations and rules!!!!!
