⭐ ⭐⭐.5 /5
Let me first say this book made me anxious!!
My first issue is how am I to believe Celaena Sardothian is "the best" anything? No less assassin. It is just too unbelievable. The Prince lacks something for me, he obviously has layers but he has no conviction and it was off-putting in the end also Chaol is captain of the guard but has never taken a life before?
I am writing this review questioning myself, what makes me think this is still a 3.5-star read? I think the answer to that is: I felt like I was there. I was taken into the story, and I can see the world that was built and brought to life! That accomplishment alone is worth something, not all books can do that. I want to learn more about the characters and understand more of their story.
