Tragic Bonds by J. Bree
4.0
The storyline progressed really well, and a whole lot of information was given that answered some questions from the previous book and gives the reader a deeper look into the storyline the author plotted. There’s still world-building and it’s fascinating and interesting as the new information is introduced.
The first roughly 5 chapters had me sobbing non-stop. The way I was brought to tears over the most awful bond and having me not dislike him anymore is powerful writing.
There were a few chapters strung together that I struggled to get through. Mainly to do with some of the Bonded’s family backgrounds, which while important in the aspect of the Bonded’s, made the story seem to slow down.
J. Bree is very good at throwing plot twists into their books that are well thought-out and make a lot of sense (instead of an out-of-nowhere twist that is reaching), and the ability to end the books on a CLIFFHANGER and making the reader need to pick up the next book straight away is amazing
