Cute story, lacked depth.

The overall plot and characters are super cute, and if you're looking for a book to make you laugh and be pretty much pure fluff, you've found the perfect book and you'll probably give it 5 stars.

I struggled to connect with the characters. The overuse of passive language drove me to distraction and made the book feel like one big narration, and not in a good way. The journals were distracting and I skimmed a lot of them, including both epilogues.

All of this surprised me, because I started with Funny Business, and that was excellent! Highly recommend! This one is clearly earlier in Kayley Loring's author journey, and so the issues I struggled with in this book don't appear in others.

I'll be continuing with this series because I want to know the stories behind all these guys before reading the one after Funny Business.

Worth the read, but if you're a picky or snobby reader (like me) this one might be tougher to get through.

I've heard it's way better on audio! Sadly, I don't like audio.
