Caveboy Dave: More Scrawny Than Brawny by Aaron Reynolds

2.0

So, basically Dave and his "friends" (two of them are his friends, two of them are more like frenemies) are being sent out on their "Baby-Go-Boom"; a tribal ritual where the 12 year olds are sent out on their first hunt of one of the "Big 6" game. They must return with food --or not bother coming home. Danger and comic hilarity apparently ensues.

And okay, that's fine.

But there is just something irks me about the language and the crudeness of the art. I think the characters and the premise have a great potential...I'm just not seeing it here. Or at least not enough to have been "Oh good, there is a second book coming out!" If want more Caveman antics, I'll sick to Lucy and Andy Neanderthal.
