This is a sweet and cozy book. I love the way books are portrayed and Nina’s ability to find the right book for the person. Nina’s transformation from mousy and quiet to confident and happy was something I think all of us who feel the same would like to experience. I also love the town. I have never wanted to run away to the Highlands as badly and I do now :)
I didn’t like the style of the writing, because it jumped around in weird ways sometimes. The weird side thing with Marek didn’t really fit for me. It seemed like the idea of her always romanticizing people and relationships was conveyed well enough without it. Having it just felt like drama for drama’s sake, rather than to enhance the story in some way. And the build up of the actual romance was a little lacking, but overall it was a nice read.
