The Final Spark by Richard Paul Evans

4.0

A good conclusion to the series.
This has been on my TBR for quite a while, but I've been in a bit of a reading slump, so it's been harder than usual for me to finish the books I've been reading. So when I decided I was going to finish something today, I immediately turned to this fantasy book about kids with unusual powers.

The only thing I wish was different is that
Spoiler I wish there had been a little more explanation about what happened to Michael. Or how the change in his powers affected his life after Hatch's death. He did pretty much become an all-powerful being/god, so it would've been nice if that was addressed.
He's completely calm, cool, and collected after he basically comes back from the dead. There's nothing indicating how he feels about these life altering changes to his state of being or what it felt like to be pure energy. I would've loved to see Michael's perspective on all of this.

Also,
Spoiler the section where Jack and Ostin lie about who they are was very hard to believe. I mean, come on, they've got to be better liars than that to protect their friends.
