An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson

5.0

An easy 5 stars. I read it in the middle of studying for my exams and it was the perfect cure for my stress.

This simple stand alone book is easy to read and a great fluffy romance. It isn’t trying to be a groundbreaking new take on old fairy tale stories and I actually enjoyed the predictability of it. While I can see that some people may have found the book unimaginative I got a lot of enjoyment from this very wholesome story.

The characters are well written and I found them all likeable. Even thought the story is simple it has a clear plot from start to finish and characters develop nicely along the way. The story has some deeper thinking about the curse of immortal life and vanity which you can read as little or as little into as you want. That’s what I really loved about this story, you can get out of it as much as you want to. The climax of the book had me hooked until I finished reading.

I recommend this book to anyone looking for a wholesome romantic story that won’t take long to read. (It’s sort of like a simplistic stand alone version of the ACOTAR series just with gentler characters.)
