Phantom by H.D. Carlton

4.0

I like historical romances mixed with mafia lol so I didn’t mind all the killing and rivalry. The heart of this book though it’s Genevieve and Ronaldo and while it doesn’t have a whole lot of drama it was cool to see how it started, not just from the diary entries in Haunting Adeline but actually from them. The audible made it even better. It was duet and it was so nice hearing the characters come to life. H.D. Always nails the spicy scenes and this one was no different. If anything this one was just so freaking good. Not just because the scenes were hot, sensual and just great, but because you see the female awakening. How important it is for you to have a partner that not only cares about you, but also wants to know you. Sees you for who you are and gives you great O’s. Relax that’s as scandalous as my review is gonna get. The only reason it is not a 5 for me is because I am not an advocate for cheating and grape is triggering. Besides those 2 things, for a hopeless romantic such as myself this book swooned me.
