The Memory Book by Rowan Coleman

3.0

Decided to download this book after hearing so many great reports about it. It's the story of Claire a woman in her early 40's who is suffering from Alzeimers disease. The book travels between present and past life and we also meet Claire's mum, husband and daughters in the book. We learn how they are coping with Claire's illness and also the relationship between them all.

I have to be honest and say personally I found this book quite boring and predictable. It just didn't do anything for me. I didn't find it very sad, in fact I found it more funny at times than sad. There were parts I skimmed through and found the ending an anticlimax. I guessed from the beginning who Ryan was. I'm obviously in a minority as this book has got fabulous 5 star reviews.
