A very interesting start to this urban fantasy story.
Vampires are back baby. I'm getting all the Twilight nostalgia from the vampire storyline coming back into popularity. These authors are releasing this book in parts - this is the first five chapters and it's definitely an intriguing take on urban fantasy world building. Vampires rule a city filled with humans, slaves, and other magical creatures. The city is broken up into factions with very distinct class differences. Our main character Charlotte is cast out of her home in the palace and finds herself in the lowest of the low, struggling to survive in this new world outside of her golden tower.
I'm excited to read more of this story, and I kind of love how they're releasing it in parts. It's like your favorite TV show coming out every week but in book form.
