Tender

After experiencing the pain and rage of being cheated on by his husband, Payne moves back home to lick his wounds and put his life back together. He lands in a twin size mattress in his brother's house.....not exactly ideal for the big tattooed 40 year old. So when the idea is shot out that Payne should move in with his brother's best friend... he goes for it. Complications arise when the man he moves in with just so happens to have a massive crush on him (for 20 years), is super adorkable, and may just be what Payne always needed.

This book was very sweet. I think the thing I liked the most about it was how tender and sweet Payne and Beau are with each other. The level of respect, kindness, and consideration for each other is just so swoonie! I loved seeing them interact, and can I just say? The paper cranes? So much yes!!! The downfall that affected this rating was the pacing of the relationship. It didn't quite jive for me and was too fast which kinda crumbled the relationship foundation a bit for me. There were a few holes that I wanted filled, and that's why this wasn't a higher rating. This was still so tender and sweet, and it had its good elements for sure!
