This is absolutely where my "I rate things by vibes only" is coming in.
I don't think the book was perfect in any shape or form, but good god, I loved this book so much. I loved the story. And most importantly I absolutely loved the characters and how it was so female centric.
I just adore Leyla and Najja, I love them as individual people, they both felt really fleshed out. But I also really love them together. I truly enjoyed how their relationship developed. Of course it moved a bit fast, considering that the book isn't that long. But I still think it was believable.
Also need to gush over Danai, we didn't get that much of her but what we got just made me love her, love her friendship with Leyla so much, cause they would literally go to the ends of the earth for each other.
And then the more toxic gays. Favre and Thana. They are super messy but also super interesting.
Can't wait for book 2 to see how all of this will resolve.
