The composition and flow of the story was beautiful, the art as flowy as time and it greatly emphasized the passage of time. The details of the wrinkles, the dream-like sequences, it's something that you watch flash through your eyes rather than read.

My grandfather passed many years ago from a brain injury that made his memory difficult. He'd forget us and speak about people long passed. This book was a gentle reminder for me about the things that we've done before that used to something so common. I only have one grandparent left from both sides of my parents, and while I vowed to never forget them, it's hard to remember it all: how pa would buy out whole tubs of candy that I like, how ma would spend hours in front of her vanity with me watching and giving her her tools, how tatay would put on music at full volume and invite me to dance: two flat-footed bad dancers in a creaky old house.
Remembering is painful because they're gone, but the happiness we spent together was something I would never want to forget.
