"Turns out there's a reason they call it falling in love, because when it happens--really happens--that's exactly how it feels. There's no doing or trying, you just let go and hope someone's going to be there to catch you."

This is by far one of the best books that I've read all year. It wasn't my absolute everything, but it gave me so many feels, good and bad, and it's kinda sad to admit that I haven't felt that all that much while reading this year. I mean, I've only given one book a 5 star, and it's already August! Anyways, I'm really happy at how much I was surprised by the story that unfolded. I was honestly not expecting too much from this (as you can tell by my earlier statement, my reading year has been rough), but this book made me cry, while also giving me butterflies, and I couldn't be happier for it. It felt like reading a combination of Mamma Mia, due to the whole reading-your-mom's-journal-and-learning-about-your-dad thing, and Anna and the French Kiss, because of the sweet romance set in a country that's foreign to our MC (and the delicious food!). This was just sooo sweet, and at times heartbreaking, and I just want every romcom fan to give it a go.
