I have no words, I believe I lived through all five stages of grief reading that...
I want someone to love me as Red loves Blue, and I want to love someone as Blue loves Red.
The book grabbed me by my heart and squeezed until all I felt was pain, and then realised my heart from it's grip and let hope in...

as I wrote on Instagram 23/08/23:

I absolutely loved this book, and it jumped to the top of my top 3 list...

(1. This book
2. If we were villains
3. The song of Achilles)

And if you've ever had the displeasure of talking to me about my favourite books, you know that The song of Achilles has held that number one spot since i read it in summer of 2022. It has been the book that I would recommend to any moving, living, creature, and now this book has taken it's place, with the exception, that I would not recommend this book to just anyone. I believe you have to be a very specific type of person to read, and enjoy this book. It is written in a very poetic way, and is a little confusing at times, i personally love that, but it's not for everyone.
The story is beautiful, and I don't even know how to talk about it without absolutely spoiling it all, so I won't, all I'll say is that it's beautiful.
I want someone to love me as Red loves Blue, and I want to love someone as Blue loves Red. Their love is something so wonderful, and just beyond other love stories I've red and seen. Now that could be a little dramatic, but at this point we should all already know that i love the dramatics, so you know.
This book genuinely means a lot to me, and I have a constant overwhelming need to just re-read it, and i might since it is only around 200 pages long so quite short, (compared to my current read, A little life,), and could take me less than 4 hours to finish.
Finding the words to describe my love for this book, is harder than someone might think, so I think I'll leave it at that... I might come back and write more, or maybe I won't, who knows.
