And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
3.0

A tidy little story about 1930's Englishmen gathered on a remote island and having their dirty laundry -- and their own lives -- bared out for all to see! I'm sure it made great waves when initially released. Having read it in 2020's, there was little explanation for all the historical colour and eccentricities. Nevertheless, the stilted characters kept drumming along to a nice crescendo of an ending. In total it now reminds more of a thriller than a murder mystery.
