Pinball: A Graphic History of the Silver Ball by Jon Chad

adventurous funny hopeful informative inspiring lighthearted fast-paced

4.5

Saw this in the list of Eisner nominations and thought it looked interesting. The art is fantastic and full of the energy of an actual pinball game. The history itself is well-written and more interesting than I knew before reading it. Good sense of drama. The development of the game is interesting but at times may have gotten a little too detailed. A minor quibble, but the human aspect of the story is where the book shines.

The tips for actually playing was a nice addition.
