Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire

3.0

As another reviewer mentioned, this is a companion book to Beautiful Disaster and should not be expected to be a standalone novel.

I have to say that I highly anticipated this book, after being so enamored by Beautiful Disaster, but ended up being disappointed. I felt that this was a rush job. In some scenes that overlapped between the 2 books, it seemed like McGuire just copied and pasted it, then changed only the pronouns. I felt like more could have been done to give us better insight into Travis' character.

In addition, there was one pivotal scene that occurred in Beautiful Disaster that was barely mentioned in this book, which I found frustrating.

In the end, I'm glad I read it than not. However, I think it could have been a much better story with more time and planning.

Plot: follows Beaitiful Disaster, so...good
Characters: follows Beautiful Disaster, so...good
Typos: very few
Love scenes: low key
Reality factor: real enough not to detract from the story

Worth the price? $7.99 - definitely no
Would I read it again? No
Life changer? No
