This book is a series of essays about what shaped the 90s. Kolsterman refers to the 90s as the fall of the Berlin Wall to the fall of the Twin Towers with an explanation that makes sense. For those looking for a nostalgia fix, this book may not be for you as it is more about what shaped the decade from pop culture, technology, politics, advertising, sports, national tradgedies through elections. I think this book will only be of interest to the population that experienced pre-internet and post-internet which was evident by many of the reviews. This book creates great talking points. If you are looking for a "story" that is not this book.
