Fun! Took me a bit to get into it but overall I appreciated the whimsy, the fairytale aspects, and Evangeline.  She almost tipped over into being too hopeful but I also like that she doesn’t just sit around but goes ahead and does stuff, and I like that she sometimes makes mistakes and her path doesn’t roll out perfectly in front of her. On that note it’s interesting to see the story play with the idea of how what you ask for may be twisted and not get you the intended result…Jacks is fun too. The ending was a bit cliffhanger-y for me but oh well, I was going to read the next book anyway, haha.
