Book two in the series and just as wonderful. The slow burn romance is frustrating, but due to time in history and how men and women typically acted it’s appropriate. A few things are revealed that I suspected which is always exciting.

If you enjoy historical fantasy fiction where the fantasy aspect isn’t thrown in your face and the romance is demure, I believe you will enjoy this series. The story is set in London during the early 1900’s after the war when cars are available, but I believe only the rich upper class could afford.

Since I wasn’t born then (and honestly I would probably be dead now if I was) and not up on history from back then, especially in England, I can’t confirm the non magical aspects are accurate. Regardless, it doesn’t matter to me. I’m loving this series and will continue on. I am grateful my local library has it available to borrow.
