3.5 stars. Beautiful, smart, emotional war story-- but truly not my cup of tea or at all what I expected after reading Blood Over Bright Haven and innumerable recommendations for this book on social media. I generally avoid plot summaries and trigger warning lists, but this is one I wish I'd looked those over beforehand.
