Good YA thriller with a cast of characters like The Breakfast Club who have to face a realistic manmade catastrophe of a city of people facing a world without water.
I liked this and it was not a book to put down. I read it straight through without stopping. Within reason, of course.
Sometimes I wondered if the ability of the US to react to help the LA area was discounted for effect. I know that the country has a spotty record helping during disasters, but it seemed that there would be more that the federal government could do if this situation truly happened. Now, the book worked and worked well so kudos to the author for handling those questions during the book.
I’m going to look for more by him.
