look i just couldn’t NOT give this boo five stars… yes may eeee i would have loved a little more to have happened and developed between hanne and thea whilst she was

still alive in the beginning

but ultimately the beauty this story holds just truly transcended all odds. it took me a long time to find this surprisingly - as someone who usually takes maybe a week to finish a book, i was on this one for about two months and i think i can say that was totally due to the fact is was just written so damn well, it took energy to make sure i was fully absorbing it in all its beauty you know !? anyway yes hannah kent has such a magical touch for writing and this really exceeded expectations!! <3 hanne and thea foreverrrr 

also i  any bloody WAIT to see this as a film adaptation oh my gosh!!
