A Wedding in December
by Sarah Morgan
I really liked this heart-felt, warm and toasty story about family, making new Christmas traditions and love in a beautiful snowy setting.
❄️
There are three love stories (1) mom/dad reconnections after being secretly separated for months, (2) youngest daughter Rosie who’s quickly marrying to a man she’s known a couple months, and (3) Katie, the older, hardworking daughter who doesn’t believe in love, but falls for the best man.
❄️
Although each love story was good, I really loved the parent’s reconnection. It was so sweet how mom, Maggie, began to open up to change (traditions , appearance, focus and direction), learn to be a woman, not just a mother, step back and allow her daughters to make their own choices, and add some spice in her marriage. So sweet, touching and relatable.
❄️
I’m glad this was the Christmas-y book I decided to read because honestly, I’d rather watch Christmas movies on Hallmark
