I wanted to love this book so much. I enjoyed the writing style, I enjoyed the characters, I enjoyed the world that Ali Hazelwood created for her paranormal debut. I don't know exactly what it was that caused the disconnect for me, but I think the 🔥 scenes just were not exactly my flavor. It is possible that the genre itself is a little too adventurous for my taste when it comes to those kinds of scenes, though.
I will say that I loved the relationship development between the FMC and the MMC, but (view spoiler).
If paranormal romance is your thing, I am confident that you would enjoy this more than I did. If you choose to read, please be aware that there is descriptive mention of blood/bleeding and sexual content. There are also mentions of suicidal moments but they are brief.
