Fire Line

I was procrastinating on reading this book even though I was so excited for it because I didn’t want to cry. I cried. This book was everything. I adore Lennon and how she doesn’t take shit from anyone. I have a thing for flighty FMCs who are independent finding a home without realizing they needed one. This book hurt in the best way possible. The banter in the beginning between Lennon and CJ where neither of them were willing to back down 10/10. They matched each other in every way and no doubt about that. When you get past the banter though you get the really good stuff. CJ is stable and warm, he’s in her corner holding her and giving her a home. He is everything she didn’t know she needed and so much more. This book wasn’t warm and fuzzy, Lennon had a past and a lot of healing to do. CJ was there for her every step of the way holding onto her and reminding her she has a place with him and people who care about her. His constant reassurance was so sweet and there was so much love there it was impossible not to feel it. Lennon found a family in the middle of nowhere with people who would do anything for her. She found a place she belonged to and a family that she chose who would always choose her. This was the perfect ending to this series and the perfect person to complete the family, this book was absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking.
