I was planning on reading all three books in the omnibus edition I have, but this first installment was so idiotic that I will not be continuing the series for now. I love how strong the female lead is, but the plot is super lazy and dumb. The backstory bored me. Worst of all, this didn’t feel like paranormal YA; more like a tepid cat and mouse thriller with historical spiritualism thrown in.
