Here's the thing... it's not poorly written. The pacing is fine, the romance for a YA is okay, the drama (oh the fake drama) is definitely there. I just really, really hated the main character.

She is spoiled. She plays field hockey. She is stuck up. She's plays field hockey. She is ANNOYING. She plays field hockey. She is almost 18 but her dad's let her drink sometimes. Oh, and did I mention she plays field hockey already?

She is kind of trying to split up her brother from his fiance. All while she is trying to find love. She has a million guys - okay 2, her brother, and 2 dads - fawning all over her. She makes these "great" relationships with all of the females in her life, too, and yet...and yet she really can't call anyone in this book a friend. She is so wrapped up in herself that EVERYTHING is about her, so I can guarantee that if this were real life, none of those other people would actually like her.

But she does find "love" in the end. If you can count saying "I love you" the first day you start dating along with losing your virginity in the barn to him at your brother's wedding as love.
